CARP Collaborations: Community Engagement and Development

We strive to build and develop community capacity and promote social inclusion through our involvement with a diverse range of projects that have community engagement and participation as central themes.

Example project: Community Kites

With joint grant funding in 2015 and 2016 this development project involves communities at risk of social exclusion in project planning, exploring Gower, creative expression and outdoor activity- all through the fun of making and flying kites! .

Example project: Children's rights consultation

A Welsh local authority and a Council for Voluntary Action wanted to further their children's rights work but first needed to know what children and young people already knew about their rights and what they felt the local authority should focus upon. Through a series of participatory activities, we worked with groups of young people to inform work remits.
